The Dress

diy wedding tuxedoYour groom and his friends can go to any tuxedo rental shop and find a bargain deal.
Most places have specials where if five or more people in your party rent a tuxedo, the groom gets his rental free.
Not having five groomsmen?
Don’t forget the ring-bearer and the fathers of the bride and groom!
It’s entirely up to you if you want your groom to choose the tuxedo style he likes best or if you want to go along and voice your opinion.
Trust me, if you both have gotten this far together, he’s perfectly capable of picking out a nice tux!

These tuxedo stores also have a ton of colors to match practically anything!
Make sure your groom knows what color you want in the tuxedos.
They also offer all the accessories.
Shoes, ties, vests, they have it all!
Just be sure you’ve both agreed on what color the groomsmen will be wearing.

Bridal shops always seem to have a lot of commas on their price tags, but that isn’t always the case.
There are plenty of bargain racks that offer dresses as cheap as $100.
They may not be Swarovski crystal, but they are certainly beautiful!

You may have to give up on the designer wedding dress, but even the sales rack dresses are beautiful and no less perfect for you to wear on your special day!
Make sure you find one closest to your size so you don’t have to spend a fortune on the fitting.

One bit of advice that I treasured and that helped me choose my perfect wedding dress was to look at your reflection and decide how you feel wearing the dress.
Do you feel like a princess?
Do you feel like you look frumpy?
Do you feel feminine?
Trust me, how you look and how you feel are not the same.
How you feel is far more important in my opinion.

So many color options!
White? Cream? Taupe?
Or any other color of the rainbow?
Don’t go by traditions of only wear white if you’ve never been with a man before.
Wear what you like.
Wear what will look best in your wedding and with your skin tone.

There is no right or wrong wedding dress to choose.
Don’t want a skirt full of tulle? They have dresses for that.
Don’t want a floor-length gown? No problem.
Dresses aren’t all the standard cookie-cutter design that we all think of when we think wedding dresses.

If you know anyone with a sewing machine, it’s easy to add a layer of lace or a few extra sparkles to your dress for anyone who knows how!
I just wouldn’t spend a years’ paycheck on a dress you’ll only wear once.
